Clopin: 30,000 pv thanks

Monsieur Clopin and his petite marionette would like to thank you all for contributing to all these pageviews that we've been getting. He's been on a little bit of a break from this specific dA page, but he'd like you all to know that he's still around, and he appreciates you coming to look and see.

OH, something I want to ask you all.

With all due respect, I would ask you to not trace my art... I don't know how many people do it, or if more people than I've seen actually trace my art, but seriously, I'm more offended than flattered when it comes down to it... I really don't have a lot of respect for tracers, and just a little bit back, I found out that one of my Clopin pictures had been traced... others had asked the artist why it looked familiar and she'd responded that "the pose was in the movie", and I (as well as any respectable Clopin fan) could tell that that's not the truth.

I understand that it's sort of a flattery to have my art copied like that, but I go through the trouble of making my own clopin art without copying, so I would like to ask that you try and come up with your own too. I don't mean that you can't reference off of anything, but tracing isn't really art, for me at least.

So please, no tracing! I know this probably won't mean anything to you and won't stop tracers, but I want you to know that I really don't like it, and I DO mind. The least you can do is credit me with the pose or something. *laughs*
