Sorry don't read this note I had to say it or i would drive me crazy. If they are speaking french the word for yes is spelled oui.

They're speaking Cajun French. The spellings are more phonetic, and 'weh' is actually their yes.

And the French equivalent of "Weh" would be "Ouais," actually, since they're speaking informally.
