I was bored in class today, and I kept drawing pictures of them, so I thought, oh what the hell? I'll ink one.
Really pissed off my history teacher. Did this instead of homework... Heh.
Anyway, this is sort of a show of their relationship. Amarant and Freya act like they respect one another a lot, but sometimes (their first meeting for example), they seem to dislike one another. Trying to kill each other, actually, when they first met.
*laughs* Seems like such a great friendship! Their first words upon seeing each other are:
Freya: What are you staring at?!
Amarant:....are you really that tough?
And then they start fighting. Heh. Best friends right there.

Nah, not my characters. They're from a video game called Final Fantasy IX, but the sad thing is that they're just there. No character development, at least none that's shown.
So, I tend to come up with my own ideas about them... A lot more interesting than they probably really are, maybe, but I think they have the potential to be interesting. Huh.
Amarant is an asshole, though. Yes. Yes he is.

Ooo, me likey. Freya's always been one of my favorite characters of just about any video game.
Though, I haven't played in long enough to remember what either character is like...
Freya strikes me as pretty British... she's tough, relied upon, and respected... But, that sequence when she saw Zidane for the first time in years gave the impression that she always had a sarcastic side...
Amarant's quiet... and an asshole. Responds, usually, with one word. Except when talking to Freya. Cuz, she won't shut up. *laughs*
Freya and Amarant are my favorites! And, thank you for the comment!

I adore Freya. But more appropriatly, I adore the first five minutes of Freya. Freya and Zidane in the bar was awesome. Freya being all emo over Fratley? Not so much. Never the less, I still love her.
I like Amarant a lot too. I like his relationships with the other characters, namely Freya and Eiko. Amarant and Freya seem to loathe each other, and yet they gravitate toward each other all the time. In a "We're surrounded by idiots" kind of way. I also like Amarant and Eiko because Amarant clearly has an incredible desire to strangle the life out of her, but he doesn't, because she's a child. That's pretty sweet of him, in an Amarant-sort-of-way.
Good job with Freya's face. I never could get that right.

Me as well! Freya is a favorite of mine, but even after Fratley reappeared, there were a lot of "Sir Fratley, I wish you were here" scenes... pretty much any scene that centered on Freya had a little thought added at the end that said "I wish Sir Fratley were here." I love her, I really do, but sometimes you just want her to move on already!
Same ideas on Amarant as well. Similar to Freya in certain ways, but vastly different in many others. But, he still talks to her. Yay for the idiots. I also love Amarant and Eiko, because it reminds me of all to many big brother, little annoying devil sister relationships. *laughs* Amarant sweetness, of course. I like how when he takes friendships, he takes them grudgingly. Adds more to his personality.
Thank you! Practiced too much on Freya lately. Believe me.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
