My lead female is a world champion boxer. (She evolved over more than a decade of writing)
JB seems to have a very similar personality type to Melissa Hernandez and Fredia Gibbs. A little hard nosed at times but when you get to know 'em they're good folk. (Though Melissa may have seriously damaged her rep recently...)
