Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon." Said the old man, "I do that, too." The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants." "I do that too," laughed the little old man. Said the little boy, "I often cry." The old man nodded, "So do I." "But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems Grown-ups don't pay attention to me." And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand. "I know what you mean," said the little old man.
Pretty quickly done thing for Illustration Class tomorrow. Urgh. *laughs* I know there are some wonky things going on with this picture, but BEAR WITH ME, I SAID IT WAS QUICKLY DONE, AND I PROBABLY NOTICED THEM ALL IN THE COURSE OF COLORING THIS THING.
Mr. Reinman is so going to point them all out. *laughs*

Convicted of a crime I didn't even commit. Ha! "Attempted murder." Now honestly, what was that? Do they give out a Nobel Prize for "attempted chemistry", do they?

My heart tells me I'm not from this planet. That I fell from a comet out of circualtion. Or maybe I'm a clone of something like a wild man, who articulates a language from some strange dimension...
Ah, Shel Silverstein. How I do love him...I remember one of my best childhood friends and I memorized one of his poems-the one making the excuses not to go to school-and we'd quote lines from it back and forth to each other while dashing headlong up the stairs to our classroom, earning odd looks from our teachers and other students.
Good times, man, good times.
The picture goes beautifully with it...in a lot of ways, youth and old age are alike, but youth has the advantage of a long future ahead of them, while all you can look forward to in your old age is usually a peaceful rest.
