Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that, too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.

Pretty quickly done thing for Illustration Class tomorrow. Urgh. *laughs* I know there are some wonky things going on with this picture, but BEAR WITH ME, I SAID IT WAS QUICKLY DONE, AND I PROBABLY NOTICED THEM ALL IN THE COURSE OF COLORING THIS THING.

Mr. Reinman is so going to point them all out. *laughs*

Between the style of the characters and your story there I can EASILY imagine it as a short before a big Pixar movie... it's just charming!

*GASP!!!* Shel was like... a huge part of my childhood! *laughs*

He published several children's books before he died... Check out his poetry books, seriously, they're like... ridiculous and funny, and he does have some touching things in there. But yeah. He's brilliant. *laughs*
