"Well, I suppose that concludes our meeting then, Mr. Lipsky. Learned a bit more about your proper future, I hope?"

Drakken sat there for a moment, picking through his brain in an attempt to find the right way to describe his "meeting" with Mr. Nergal. It had been the same as all his other past encounters, and as always, the same words came to mind: Boring...Repetitive...slightly confusing. He didn't completely understand just why the demonic counselor had found some sort of interest in him (though whatever theories he had he quickly tossed out the window from creepiness), but so far all their appointments went the same way: they started out about Drew's future, which usually somehow transitioned into a very one-sided discussion on Nergal's past and own mistakes, and, just before the guy had taken his tentacles out from bad memories, back to a discussion on proper classes.

Drew looked up at Nergal, that usual toothy smile on his face grinning out behind tented fingers from across his desk.

"It was very..." Drew began, still fishing for the proper word. "Informative."

Nergal nodded his head, pleased with the response, and stood, gesturing off toward the door. "Well, I suppose it's time to get back to studying! Until next time, eh? You're shaping up to be a promising villain!"

Drakken nodded quietly, muttering a goodbye, and stood up himself. Until next time, eh? he thought, feeling a bubble of exasperation rising up in his stomach. Well, he should've suspected as much. Buddy and Vlad had kidded that Nergal's interest came from how much he saw himself in Drew: They were both failures. And if that was true (which Drew sorely wished against), then Nergal would surely keep this path.

Oh well... Drew would only shrug. It got him out of class.

Drew turned to exit the office. But, just as he reached for the knob, the door flung open as if by some explosion.

"By Grabthar's Hammer," he heard Nergal exclaim, "what are YOU doing here?!"

Drew stepped back, taking a moment to look at the new arrival. A blonde, very angry looking girl stood at the doorway, exuding a sense of such evil that Drakken felt both uncomfortable and jealous just standing in her midst. She had the aura of a nazi general, a strange systematic feel in her piercing gaze as it bore a hole straight through Drew and into Nergal behind.

"I'm here for an appointment," Mandy replied, stepping forward into the office decidedly. She spared Drew only a glance before seemingly writing him off as meaningless and made her way toward the counselor.

"You've come to ruin my day!" Nergal snapped, pointing an accusatory finger at her. "As always."

Mandy only glared. "Excuse me? I didn't kidnap and electrocute you, did I?"

Nergal's features fell for a moment to some slight embarrassment, but he regained his composure in a moment. "Aren't you Penelope's problem? Go see her!"

"She sent me," Mandy replied briefly, pulling a piece of paper from seemingly out of nowhere and brandishing it before her for Nergal to see. Peeking over, Drew could see the fanciful loopy lettering of the other counselor telling Nergal that she had a very important meeting, to attend, she was so very sorry, and she would make it up to him later somehow. She signed off with a toodles and a couple of somehow less-than-friendly hearts, with a P.S. promising to see him at lunch and a good luck on fulfilling his very important duties with her student.

Nergal's face fell at the sight.

"Apparently Spectra's busy with something, so I've got to discuss things with you," Mandy said, slipping the paper back into the nowhere from whence it came. "And I've got a few things to say about that cooking class she put me in..."

The black-faced demon just groaned, finding his chair and falling into it with an undistinguished "plop" as he took on his duty. Drew, feeling that now was the time to leave, did so, closing the door quietly behind him as he heard the beginnings of some angry rant jarring inside the office.

Just before he turned the corner into his next class, he thought he saw in the edge of his vision a grinning figure, vaguely resembling a certain guidance counselor, making its way towards Nergal's office, as if to listen through the keyhole.

He shrugged and let it be. Another day, another misery for Mr. Nergal. He opened the door to his Evil Fundamentals class and stepped in.

****

CUZ I FELT LIKE IT. Excuse the crappy writing, I'm halfway watching Dragonball as I do this. *laughs*

Anyway, I needed to draw more Nergal. It was needed.
