An accompanying piece for a song I wrote called "Stupid 14 year old girl" exploring how heartbreak can make someone a cliche'd idiot as opposed to an artist or a poet. As in, you wish you could express yourself beautifully, express the anger that you're feeling in a way that transcends the heartbreak itself...
...but then you end up expressing the usual shit you hear on pop radio and read in the diary of a preteen girl who just broke up with her first boyfriend and thinks it's the end of the world.
Not saying that that's a bad thing, because those sentiments are cliche because they're so common, but so frustrating sometimes!
I was stupid when I loved you,
And you're making me stupid even now when you're gone
